Out There 03:07
Where are we going from here? and how have you been my dear? It's been such a long time ago where did the kid in me go? To no longer be part of the masses the city's dried out from garden to ashes I can hear the pacific is calling my name I've come so much farther in days come clean since I've been away and who takes the fall for the fallen? I heard the other ones say To no longer be part of the masses the city's dried out from garden to ashes I can hear the pacific is calling my name Released the weight of a thousand ton giant floated away on this creature covered island I can hear the pacific is calling my name

Dust 05:24
I watch my footprints disappear in the snow as I thought to myself where did all the good times go and I've been chained to the brink of destruction for as long as I remember but you know how time moves so slow and I've been dazed and confused sitting on the couch at your house just vaguely hearing the news how did we fuck up so bad in the first place? I don't even know why I bother looking at the state we're in We're just dust upon a windowsill we're just a flawed organization of a species that decided to kill and I've been hoping for a better tomorrow since the day I figured out there's no more hope left to borrow All these thoughts that fly around in my head make me feel so weak but it's not like I'm dead like how I never wanna leave the house cause there's faces all around me and they're crawling inside my head it's got me dazed and confused like being on the run from the law for something I didn't do how did we fuck up so bad in the first place I don't even know why I bother looking at the state we're in

If I could die slowly in sleep in my dreams take me to the mountains throw me in the stream if I could die quickly in my home, my land take me to the water bury me in sand With each breath I take doubt slips from my mouth air can't stop my hiding smoke won't stop my doubt there's builders and butchers right outside my door and I am but none of these swift moving chords Wake up wake up what's new with you? I'm out of love with myself oh how that love was brand new We move swiftly along.

about

Spring is near and that means another album! I've been sitting on this for a couple months but think it's finally ready after a winter of writing and recording. This album was sparked by the opening track and the couple other field recordings done in my temporary van home on Pender Island. After coming back to Toronto to spend time with friends and family over the winter I produced this project.

Now as I write this, eager to embark on my second tour across Canada with the lovely Kristi Hawkes and good friend Creek, I can't possibly begin to imagine all the lovely faces and wonderful adventures I will encounter, with these songs by my side.
